Dear friends, As a result of the experimental art residence work (to which I have been chosen by the curator Oksana Budulak according to the results of the competition), our exhibition — intervention was opened in the urban space on Herzen Street of the East Sibirian city Tyumen (Russia).

My work presented at a city board has the form of a still life — installation and named ORANGERY. Reflecting on the theme “We are still strong'' and focusing on the fact that my artistic area of interest is work with a place, I assumed that two abandoned greenhouses, situated not far from Saint Petersburg, may become a suitable object with which I can implement my work in the “residence”. They become for me a metaphor for the world of artists in the 21-st century. It is the RIZOMA (Rizoma has a botanical origin), i.e. it has many entrances and exits due to the almost complete absence of glass there. This “disappearance” of the walls as external borders, and the appearance as RUINS to the World, turns the Orangery into a symbol of liberation and universalism in my opinion.
